Registration for the Textile Forum 2013 is finally open!
We have finished the planning stages for the Forum in 2013. Last year's place for the Forum was a wonderful match with our requirements, and we have been offered the opportunity to have another Forum there. We will return to the LEA in Mayen, Germany, 2-8 September 2013.
With the European Textile Forum, we want to give academics and craftspeople working with historical textile techniques a place and opportunity to meet with each other. This is the perfect surrounding and the perfect place to solve technical questions regarding your textile and to get input from others working on similar pieces - both on the academic and on the craft side.
For the Forum 2013, our focus will be on Decoration on Textiles - dye, print, embroidery and paint. We wish to try a slightly different format this year, with paper or poster presentations in the morning and workshops, demonstrations or round-table discussions related or concerning the morning topic in the afternoon. Registration is now possible, and we welcome and appreciate any offers of papers, posters, workshops, demonstration or project presentations. If you are unsure whether your topic or project will fit in with the Forum (or does not fit into the registration form), please do not hesitate to contact us!
And of course we are happy if you spread the word about the Forum. We are looking forward to a wonderful time in September with you!
